With over 12 years general management experience, Sharlene spent the bulk of her career at Coca-Cola Amatil NZ. She, among others, was responsible for the strategic direction and operational management of the Human Resources department supporting over 1000 employees. During her career in Auckland, she also sat on the NZ Packaging Council and Keep NZ Beautiful Board.
After returning home to Kaitaia with her husband and young family, Sharlene is now utilising her governance, business acumen, networks and strategic skills to help local businesses.
Sharlene is extremely passionate about supporting the Far North. She is of Ngati Kuri descent and has a Business Management Degree from Waikato.
Rachel joined Horizon Consulting in 2015. She has around 15 years experience in human resources management, recruitment, marketing and general business support. This experience spans a variety of industries including construction, hospitality, mining, social services and government.
She attended Kaitaia College and then went on to Otago University where she completed a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Marketing and Tourism.
After a number of years working in both South Korea and Australia, she returned home to the Far North in 2015 where she now lives with her husband and two children.
Lanice is an experienced project planner, consultant and manager. Her career is diverse and most recently she worked with the Community Business & Environment Centre (CBEC) in Katiaia as Assistant General Manager.
Now, with a young family, she enjoys a balanced work life-style as a business consultant for Horizon Consulting. Lanice’s specialties include health and safety compliance, management systems, and policy and procedure development. She has a Bachelor of Teaching and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management.
Lanice has a good understanding of governance structures, social contexts as well as the commercial aspects of the work environment. She is passionate about creating local employment and economic development by assisting small businesses to succeed and grow.
Lanice is of Te Rarawa and Ngati Hine descent and was bought up in the Far North, but has lived both abroad and in the South Island. Home is now with her husband and family in Kaitaia.
Anna has recently joined the Horizon team after relocating from Auckland to the far north with her husband to enjoy a quieter lifestyle and escape the hustle and bustle of the city.
With approximately 5 years generalist HR experience in the fast-paced FMCG industry, and prior to that in insurance and customer service, Anna is equipped to provide sound and professional advice on a range of employment issues, legal compliance and HR policies and procedures. She also has experience with end to end recruitment across a wide range of roles.
Anna believes that the most important asset to a company is its people, and is looking forward to helping businesses in the far north gain the knowledge and tools they need to succeed.
Laura is our administration extraordinaire. She has an extensive background in office administration, project management, customer service and basic accounting.
She spent almost 10 years working with Community Business & Environment Centre (CBEC) utilising her skills in varying roles within the company, most recently as Administration Manager for CBEC’s largest enterprise.
Laura was raised here in the Far North where she continues to live with her husband and two children.
