EMPLOYEE RELATIONS

 

Navigating your way through New Zealand employment law can be confusing.  Collectively, our consultants have over 30 years of practical, hands on HR and Employee Relations experience.  For more complex situations, we also have our own Employment Law Specialist on hand.

Some of the key areas we can assist are:

  • Reviewing your employment agreements to ensure that they comply with legislative requirements, including Employment Relations Act 2000, Holidays Act 2003, Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 and other minimum code legislation;

  • Developing your employment agreements and company policies;

  • Advising on the hiring and firing of employees;

  • Guiding you through any required disciplinary or redundancy consultation processes between you and your employees.

PROJECT REPORT

We were approached by Community, Business & Environment Centre (CBEC) to complete the recruitment of a General Manager for their head office in Kaitaia.  We worked closely with both the board and management to develop a candidate attraction strategy focusing not just on local talent, but also people who would be willing to relocate.  After a period of successful advertising and networking, we presented a shortlist and coordinated and participated in panel interviews.  We worked hard to ensure they had all the information required to make the right choice.  They now have a fantastic General Manager in place who is helping shape the organisation's successful future.
